2.  For the healthy eating groups, make sure that you draw attention to #everyBODY

3.  It is very important that each presentation, announcement, etc. draws attention to the overall purpose of our presentations....
-to teach students how #everyBODY is used
-to use #everyBODY to show what makes us a healthy school and to inspire everyone to continue being healthy in these ways.
-to inspire everyone to eat healthy snacks & meals


Math - Fractions test tomorrow.  Please study your notes from the work we did in class, as well as the review which we have been working on in class.  You will have more time in class on Monday.  (p.341 #2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 13 (you do not need to solve using models like some of the questions ask).

Health - We will be beginning growth & development (sex ed.) in the coming weeks.  A letter has gone home explaining the topics we will be covering.

Science - Mug designs due May 31 & Travel Mugs due June 12

Geography - Please complete the following assignment (due Tuesday)

There are a lot of housing development companies that would love to build houses on the Oak Ridges Moraine.  Please use chapter 13 and page 168 in your textbook to create convincing arguments that you will present to the Canadian government to convince them that this is a very bad idea.

Your answers should be VISUAL, PERSUASIVE & BRIEF.

The following pages/topics are to be used to help you create your convincing arguments.

Graduation - Food forms to Mme. Yungblut

Literacy - Literature Circle section #4 (due Wednesday...be ready to present and ready to hand in work.  Do not come to school saying you need to print something on the day of.  Please plan ahead.  And please remember to be ready to lead the discussion for at least 10 minutes.  A little hint....create extra questions which promote really good discussion in case your conversations go quicker than you expect).


Hansenpalooza - We look forward to our Hansenpalooza fundraising event again this year.  Our class is responsible for creating a "gas and grocery gift card basket".  Thank you for donations in past years, and for future donations to this fundraiser which has generated very significant funds that have greatly benefit our students.  This fundraiser makes a real difference in the lives of our students here at school.

Hansenpalooza - Early bird ticket sales have begun.  An order form has gone home.  Hope to see everyone there! :)
