2.  Make sure your family has seen and approved of your course selections.  Remember, you only need to select your courses for grade 9.

3.  Please record the email address that your parent and/or guardian wants confirmation sent to.  Your family will need to confirm and approve your courses through email.

Winter Electives - A reminder that Winter Electives are on Thursday (February 22nd).

Literacy- Now that you have decided what your narrative story is REALLY about, and have also placed your story on a story arc, you will now complete your next draft.  Your next draft is due on Monday.  Please remember the following that we discussed in class....  (Due Monday)

1. Give the reader a reason to "turn the page".  Keep it interesting, and stay on topic.

2.  Be descriptive.  The reader should be able to picture what is happening in their "mind's eye".

3.  Rewrite!  Rewrite!  Rewrite!  It is okay to keep parts of your flash draft that work, but don't try and save what isn't working.  It is much better to rewrite.  This is a very important part of the narrative writing process.

4.  Use what your story is REALLY about to help keep you on topic.  This will help ensure that the events you include in your story stay connected to what your story is really about.
