Friday May 31, 2019

Good evening everyone,

Attention families.  Friday is the deadline to contribute to our classroom basket theme of "Fire Up the Grill".  As I am sure many are aware, the classroom basket is a Rick Hansen tradition which contributes to the Hansenpalooza fundraiser.  Thank you so very much for your consideration in supporting our school in this way.

Literacy - Podcast assignment due.  It must be shared on Google Drive with Mr. Carr.  Please make sure that this is submitted by 6pm tonight.  Otherwise it is late.  Thank you.   (Due)

Math - Patterns & Algebra (Chapter #8) test on Tuesday.  This test will also include a "second try" on decimal multiplication & division since I believe we could use a review.

Geography - Test signed & returned.  (Due)

Literacy - Literature Circle Session #4 will be due Wednesday June 5.  JUST THE JOB FOR THIS WEEK.  You don't have to do the other parts of the homework chart.

PLEASE NOTE.... It is important that you remember that a big part of the job that you complete for your sessions is to promote discussion within your group.  You do record your own thoughts and answers, but your job is not to read your work to your group members.  Your job is to promote discussion and get others to share their answers.  You can then gradually share your own answers through the discussion.

Hansenpalooza - This year's event will be on Friday June 14th.  As is tradition, each class is asked to bring in donations to contribute to a fundraising basket.  This year our theme is "King of the Grill - BBQ products".  Thank you in advance for all donations.  Even a $10 cash or gift card donation is very much appreciated.  This is a VERY BIG fundraiser for our school.  Our students have technology that benefits their learning because of this annual event. Thank you for considering donating.  It is very much appreciated :)

Have a great evening,

Mr. Carr
