Friday May 17, 2019

Good evening everyone,

A reminder that students are welcome to come in before school (after 8:30am) to get extra help.  Please take advantage of this offer as you pursue your personal best on all tests and assignments.

Bike to School Week - Is next week.  With parental permission, students are encouraged to enjoy riding to school :)

Math -  Test Friday May 24th.  You should be reviewing the chapter review on Google Classroom.  Come see Mr. Carr with any questions or topics in which you could use extra help.  I have moved the test date back because you have other assignments due around this time.  I encourage you to plan ahead, and study a little bit at a time over the next week and a half.

Health - Self-reflection task.  This will be handed and be assessed.  I am not assessing your ideas.  I will be assessing your ability to follow the steps to reflect in a meaningful way on the topic that you chose, and to create some meaningful conclusions and/or set some meaningful goals.  These conclusions and goals are the "Tweets" in the last question on the task.  (Due Friday May 24th)

Literacy - Plan for Podcast assignment is due.  You should now be ready to record your podcast (Due)

Literacy - Literature Circle Session #2 (Due Tuesday)

Guidance - Career Fair Task (Due Thursday May 23rd)

Hansenpalooza - This year's event will be on Friday June 14th.  As is tradition, each class is asked to bring in donations to contribute to a fundraising basket.  This year our theme is "King of the Grill - BBQ products".  Thank you in advance for all donations.  Even a $10 cash or gift card donation is very much appreciated.  This is a VERY BIG fundraiser for our school.  Our students have technology that benefits their learning because of this annual event. Thank you for considering donating.  It is very much appreciated :)

Have a great evening,

Mr. Carr
