Good evening ladies & gentlemen,

I really enjoyed our first week of school, and I hope you all did as well!

Please find your homework below.  Have a great weekend!

Math - p. 1 in workbook (due Monday)

Literacy - Please revise your free-writing assignment that you completed today in class.  You do not need to rewrite your entire assignment.  Simply rewriting portions in another colour and drawing arrows to show where those revisions would go is fine.  You can use the guidelines below to help guide your revisions (due Monday):

1.  Create simple and compound sentences where appropriate.
2.  Use commas for pauses, lists, etc.  (place them where they belong)
3.  Does what you wrote sound correct?  If not, please fix it so that it does!  :)

Literacy - Please answer the following question from our reading of "The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe".  Please make sure you include your own ideas as well as details from the text in your answer.  The more meaningful detail in your answer, the better.  (due Monday)

Lucy was very quick to forgive Mr. Tumnus, the faun, for kidnapping her.  Is this proof of her great character, or does it instead reveal that she is naive/foolish?

Have a great weekend,

Mr. Carr

Good evening ladies & gentlemen,

Today we had a "Welcome Back" assembly where Mr. Gardner went over many of the rules and expectations for this school year.  While nothing has changed, it is important that we all remember these rules and actively pursue following them.  I have no doubt that each and every student in our class will do a fantastic job of following all expectations this year.  The first two days of school have served as proof of the tremendously respectful young men and women that you are.

Tonight's homework is to return all forms that were sent home yesterday (if you did not already return them today).

Have a great evening!

Mr. Carr

Good evening everyone,

Welcome back!  As I mentioned in the letter that went home this afternoon, I am truly excited for upcoming year.  I had a great experience teaching this group of students in grade 5, and am thankful for the opportunity to do so again in grade 7!

This is our class blog where all homework will be posted.  It is an expectation that each student checks the blog every night to make sure that nothing is missed.  It is possible that messages for the students will be posted that have not been shared in class.

For tonight, the only homework is to have forms that require signatures to be signed and returned.

Have a great evening!

Mr. Carr

Thank you everyone for a great school year!  I hope you and your families have a terrific summer break, and I look forward to seeing everyone in September.

It was a privilege to be able to teach each and every one of you this year.  I'm very thankful that I had that opportunity.  Each and every one of you are tremendous young people, and I look forward to seeing you continue to develop as students in our school.

Have a great summer!

Mr. Carr
