 Good evening, everyone!

It was so great getting to meet everyone today.  This is our homework blog.  The expectation is that you will review it each evening to ensure that you are organized and keeping up with your responsibilities.

Personal Technology - Students are encouraged to bring their own personal tech devices to use at school.  Please know that the school is not responsible for any damage or loss.  If you do not have technology to bring, or your family is not comfortable with it, that is completely fine.

Google Classroom - If you have not signed up for our Google Classroom, please do so.  The class code is kzp5cup (due tomorrow)

Parent Letter - Under "General Information" on Google Classroom, there is a letter to your parents.  Please show this to your parents, as I have asked them to send me an email response.  Thank you :)  (Due Friday)

Silent Reading - Please make sure you have a book to read at school.  It is your responsibility to make sure that you always have a book that you are interested in reading.  Please no graphic novels.  I will explain this decision in class.  Thank you, everyone. :)  (Due Monday)

 It has been an absolute pleasure being able to teach such a wonderful group of students!  Have a wonderful summer, everyone!  I am excited for you all to do great things in grade 7, and beyond!!!

For the last days of school you will only need a pencil, and a book to read for silent reading.  I have books to choose from if you don't have one.  You can begin bringing everything home from school.

Jump Rope for Heart - Our event date has been changed to TOMORROW -  June 23rd.  If your family would like you to raise funds for the Heart & Stroke Foundation, you can do the following....

Go to www.jumpropeforheart.ca and click the red join us button in the top corner. 

If you choose to fundraise, here is the LINK TO JOIN RICK HANSEN TEAM.

Library Books - All library books are due back.  Please bring them back so that you do not have to pay a fee.   (Due- late).

Silent Reading Books - Please make sure you have a text to read.  It can be a magazine, or any other text that you would enjoy reading during silent reading time.

Weekend Math - Each weekend, I would recommend taking a little bit of time to practice some Math.  Here are the steps to follow....

1.  Go to "Extra Math Support" (found under "Math" section of Google Classroom).

2.  Choose at least one resource to review & practice.

3. Each weekend, choose a different resource.  This will help you continue to develop deeper mathematical understanding.

Homework Checklist- If you are having a hard time getting your homework completed, THIS CHECKLIST can help.  A copy of it is also found under "Important Information" on Google Classroom.
