 Good evening everyone, 


Please remember...if you find that you have a lot of homework, please let me know.  We will discuss how we can use our class time more effectively so that you don't have as much homework.  When you go home, you should be able to rest from school.  However, this is not possible if we don't use class time effectively.  Again, please let me know if you have a lot, because I want to help!!


Please find your homework below...


French - Practice play by accessing it online.  Please practice nightly.


Math - Please complete the Your Turn Task we worked on today in class... Relating Metric Units of Measurement (Due tomorrow).


Social Studies - Please complete all questions for Task 1a - Global Issues.  (Due Monday)


Literacy - Narrative Story Revisions (due Tuesday May 3rd)


Science - Task #6 - Just How BIG is the Universe (Due Tuesday May 10th).


Literacy - Please get your Narrative Story rubrics signed (Due - late)


Drama - Puppet Shows will be presented on Friday (Due Friday)


Signed Work - Please show your parents/guardians your marked work and then return the form signed.  Please have them sign to show that they saw each mark.  (Due - VERY LATE - a signed note can also be submitted).



Cookie Sales - Fundraising for the grade 8 graduation will start Thursday.  Cookies will be sold for - $2 per cookie, or $5 for 3.



Weekend Math - Each weekend, I would like you to please take a little bit of time to practice some Math.  Here are the steps to follow....

1.  Go to "Extra Math Support" (found under "Math" section of Google Classroom).

2.  Choose at least one resource to review & practice.

3. Each weekend, choose a different resource.  This will help you continue to develop deeper mathematical understanding.

Math Extra Practice - There are a series of lessons under the "Math" section of Google Classroom.  The title is Extra Math Support.
