Here is tonight's homework....
Jump Rope for Heart - Will be on Thursday, June 4th. You can REGISTER HERE and track our school's fundraising efforts.
Spring Concert - Is on May 28th.
Fundraising Baskets - The class basket fundraiser info has been sent home to families. If you are able to donate, it is tremendously appreciated, but please do not worry if you cannot at this time. Our class theme is "Family Game Nightin/ Family Night out". Possible donations may include... Board games, cards, dice, popcorn, snacks, restaurant gift cards, bowling gift cards, Reptilia gift cards, cineplex gift cards.
Track & Field - Track & Field has been postponed. We will plan to run events next week. Please come to school each day with clothes on that you feel comfortable running and jumping in. Please also bring footwear you want to run in.
Growth & Development - We will be completing Growth & Development learning on June 20th in the morning. A note has gone home for parents. Parents can access THIS LINK to view the topics that will be discussed for each grade.
Literacy- Please read for at least 20 minutes.
Literacy - Here are THE SPELLING WORDS for your next test. There will be no test this week.
Social Studies (Gr.5) - The "Trouble in New France Task" and the "Daily life for Habitants" Task is due on Friday. (Due Monday)
Science (Gr.5) - Your Matter Unit packages are due on Monday. Please make sure you have completed all questions using details from the text, proper paragraph structure and push prompts. (Due Monday)
Math - Please take time to make sure you can SUCCESSFULLY complete the questions for each lesson below. Most of us could use this practice. We will have a test in the next couple weeks on these concepts...
1. Lesson #3 - Solving 2-step Equations
2. Lesson #4 - Solving Inequalities
3. Lesson #5 - How to write inequalities on a number line
4. Lesson #6 - Writing Algebraic Expressions
5. Lesson #7 - Adding & Subtracting Monomials
EQAO (Gr.6) - Next week (starting on Monday), the grade 6's will be completing EQAO. Please try hard not to be absent. Remember, this test is not something to fear, but instead you can enjoy showing what you can do :) Enjoy the challenge :) We will complete a little bit of the text every day.
Portfolios - These have a lot of completed work in them. Please have them signed and returned (Due - late)
