Good evening ladies & gentlemen,

As you all know, we continued working on our realistic fiction stories today.  We worked on developing our characters by "knowing how much change is in their pockets" (this means knowing the characteristics of your characters really, really well).  We then worked on coming up with ideas for events in our story that could allow the reader to learn the characteristics of our characters.  Tonight I would like you to finish coming up with ideas for events in your story that share what your main character is like.  If you need help, you can have your parents help you generate ideas.  Remember, today the example I gave you from my story was the fact that my Dad taking me to a baseball practice showed that he loved sports, loved his kids, and was kind.  Your job is to come up with events for your story which teaches the reader about your character.
