Hello everyone,
I will be absent Friday October 2nd.
The following are the activities to complete today (Friday October 2nd). There should be a supply teacher, but I am posting all of the instructions here just in case there are any technical difficulties.
ALL HOMEWORK IS POSTED BELOW THE PLANS FOR THE DAY.
Language (8:45-10:25)
1. Sign on to take attendance. If you cannot get in, that means that there is no teacher. In that case, please write on the Google Classroom page (main stream page) that you are "here" and then continue with your work.
2. Complete one final journal entry. This will be the last one that we do. If you have not "What makes me SMILE..." or "What makes me FROWN..." prompts, then please complete that prompt. If you have already completed both of those, then please select a different prompt. (Due Monday)
3. Please take the time to go through all of your journal entries to ensure that you have done the following. This should already be completed, but I would like to provide you some extra time to make sure that it is all done. Thank you :).....
- Highlight all compound sentences in yellow.
- Highlight some "push your thinking prompts" (You do not need to highlight all of them. Please try and highlight at least 2 per journal entry).
- All of your insights/discoveries for each journal entry should be written under each journal entry. (Due Monday).
4. You can use any remaining time during Literacy to read silently and track your reading comprehension strategies.
Math (10:55 - 11:45)
1. Please complete the task "Check-In (Lessons 1.1 - 1.5). Please make sure to read the instructions prior to completing the task. (Due Monday)
2. When you are complete, you can take the rest of your time to do the following...
- Review previous math work that you would like to study/practice.
- Get started on tasks for the rest of the day.
- Read silently & track reading comprehension strategies.
Geography (11:45 - 12:35)
1. Please complete the task "Landforms - Chapter #6".
2. Please feel free to work together in groups on this task. You can create shared documents (make sure everyone has access, and that everyone makes a copy for themselves after completing). You can also work together in a Google Meet. (Due Friday October 9th)
Lunch (12:35 - 1:35)
1. Sign on to take attendance after lunch at 1:35. If you cannot get in, that means that there is no teacher. In that case, please write on the Google Classroom page (main stream page) that you are "here" and then continue with your work.
Phys Ed (1;35 - 2:25)
Today you can have some more choice. If the weather is nice, please feel free to go do something active outside. You can exercise, practice athletic skills, etc.. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PARENT/GUARDIAN PERMISSION!

Last Period (2:25 - 3:15)

4. If you have completed everything, you can read silently and track your reading comprehension strategies.

Language - Complete the synthesis task we did today (Thursday) in class. The task you were asked to complete can be found under "Lesson 2 - Thinking Comprehension Strategies - Thinking in meaningful ways" task. You were asked to do the following....
1. Go back to your sticky note thoughts from the Navy Seal text. 2. Look DEEPLY at the sticky notes you created for the text. 3. Answer this question....HOW CAN YOU USE WHAT YOU HAVE LEARNED & THOUGHT ABOUT IN THE NAVY SEAL TEXT? 4. Homework for next day. (Due Monday)
Math - Please complete the task "Check-In (Lessons 1.1 - 1.5). Please make sure to read the instructions prior to completing the task. (Due Monday)
Math - Today (Thursday) you were given the following to complete.....
Review & practice concepts in lesson 1.5 - Complete steps 1, 2, 3 in this lesson above (lesson 1.6) - Use this time to practice/review concepts in all math lessons we have done for this unit. I AM HERE FOR QUESTIONS & HELP :)
Please complete these steps for homework. You do not need to do step 4 or 5 for lesson 1.6. (Due Monday)
Science - Please complete Lesson 5.4 - Energy Flow in an Ecosystem. You DO NOT need to complete the curiosity research for this. I will give you time next day to complete this. (Due Tuesday).
History - Please complete the exit ticket for Examining Indigenous Worldview - Part 2 assignment. Please save your answer in your History notes. You can do this by copying & pasting your answer from the exit ticket. (Due Wednesday October 7th)
Drama - Please complete Monday's task. The task was "Analysing the Elements of Drama in Movie Clips". Please remember to only complete the SECOND section on "RELATIONSHIP" (We already completed the first section). Please do not complete the entire chart. If you already did complete the chart, then please focus on adding more detail to your answers now that we have discussed and practiced in class. Please submit when you are complete that section. (Due Monday).
Music - Please complete the Music & Personal Identity Assignment. As discussed in class, many need to add more detail. Please make sure you look at all instructions on the Google Slide, and that you add enough detail. You can also watch the video of the lesson that I posted. Some people were unable to get into the meet, so this will help. Thank you :) (Due Monday)

Geography - Sorry for the technical difficulties we experienced on Friday during Geography. Your homework is as follows...
1. You Natural Disasters Assignment should be SUBMITTED. Thank you :)
2. Please complete the Jamboard task. Instructions are on the Jamboard, and this Jamboard can be found on the "Natural Disasters" Geography Task. (Was due Friday October 2nd)
