 Good evening, everyone!

For those students who have been away ill....

For students who have been away.  Please don't worry about falling behind.  There is sickness going around and it is important that you take time to feel better.  I'm dealing with the cold too - it's not fun.

When you return, we will get you caught up.  Please know that you should be prepared to take your unit #1 Math test, as the review was provided a while ago.  Students can stay in at morning recess to complete.  If you need a few extra days to study, no problem, just let me know.

Picture Day - October 14th.  This is NOT grad photo day.

Bill Crothers Secondary School Info Night - If you are interested in attending Bill Crothers SS, please se THIS FLYER for the upcoming info nights.

IB Program Info Night -  The International Baccalaureate information evenings will be occurring at 7pm on October 13th at all YRDSB IB World Schools.  Here please use THIS LINK to help you identify which school you would attend for the IB program.  Most of you would likely attend G.W. Williams in Aurora.

Meet the Teacher Night - Is Wednesday October 12th.  Information has been sent home, and this year it will be more of a "meet & greet" format.  I am excited to be able to chat with families! :)\

Long Weekend Homework  - PLEASE HAVE A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING WEEKEND!  If you cannot complete something because you've been sick, you are spending time with family, etc., please don't worry.  Just let me know you need an extension.  Please enjoy your long weekend!

Literacy- Please complete the Connecting Our Learning to Our Identities Task .  This involves conversation with family members.  Please let me know if you need an extension or if it is challenging to complete this for any reason.  (Due - late)

Literacy - Please complete the task you were working in class today - THIS TASK from slide 18 of the Attitude Unit Slideshow.  You were provided with a lot of time in class to complete this, so hopefully you don't have homework.  (Due Tuesday)

Math - Please complete the work below.  I believe I asked the supply teacher to give you the extra slideshow as homework, but I thought more about it, and decided against it.  I want you to enjoy your long weekend.  The work below is due Tuesday.  (Due Tuesday)

Lesson #5 - Comparing Rational Numbers

  1. Watch all the videos for this lesson…

  1. Do a variety of the review questions for practice.  These are found along the left hand side of the page.  Try to get 3-5 correct responses in a row for each question.

Have a great evening!
