Tuesday October 4, 2022

  Good evening, everyone!

For those students who have been away....

If you are able, please keep up with the homework on the blog.  In addition, I would recommend watching the Math videos in THIS LINK and then doing the practice questions under the "Review" section on the left hand side of the page.  I would do at least 3 problems for each of the questions.

Walk to School Day - Is Wednesday.  All students are encouraged to find a way to walk to school (bus students obviously an exception).

Picture Day - October 14th.  This is NOT grad photo day.

Bill Crothers Secondary School Info Night - If you are interested in attending Bill Crothers SS, please se THIS FLYER for the upcoming info nights.

Meet the Teacher Night - Is Wednesday October 12th.  Information has been sent home, and this year it will be more of a "meet & greet" format.  I am excited to be able to chat with families! :)

Math - Our Unit #1 (Integers) Test will be tomorrow.  Here are recommendations for preparing for the test... (Test Wednesday)

*Go through the Jamboard & make sure you can complete each question.

*Go through each lesson, and all practice questions, and make sure you can do each question.

*Use your notebooks to review work we completed in class.

*Come see Mr. Carr at morning recesses if you need extra support.  ASKING FOR HELP IS NEVER WEAK, IT'S WISE :)

Literacy - Please complete the task found on THIS SLIDE of the Attitude Research Slideshow.  The task says to do it as a class, but you can simply complete each of the steps and record your thoughts on your own.  Quick jot notes are fine.  The task should not take you too long.  (Due tomorrow)

Literacy- Please complete the Connecting Our Learning to Our Identities Task .  This involves conversation with family members.  Please let me know if you need an extension or if it is challenging to complete this for any reason.  (Due Thursday)

Science - Please complete the chart in step #6 of Task #2 - Structures & Functions within Plant & Animal Cells.  These are the 4 questions from the video.   (Mr. Carr's class - Due Friday.... Mr. D's class, due Thursday)

Art - Please complete Task #1 - Rhythm & Movement (Due tomorrow)

Have a great evening!

Mr. Carr
