Good evening,
As many are now aware, a letter was sent home with students tonight to serve as an official introduction of myself, as well as to make everyone aware of this blog which will serve as a means to keep the lines of communication open between school and home. It is my hope that all students and parents will check this blog nightly so as to ensure that their child(ren) are prepared for class each day. As well, this blog will serve as an alternative to agendas this year. Students are still welcome to keep an agenda if they feel that it would be of benefit to them, but this blog will be the most accurate method of keeping track of homework.
Something I did not include on the "Getting to Know You" form was my email address. My door is always open, and I understand that often the easiest method of communication is through email. My email address is jonathan.carr@yrdsb.edu.on.ca. For those who feel comfortable, please feel free to include your email address on the form mentioned above so that I too can seek to keep the lines of communication open.
Homework:
-Math - page 1 in workbook (due tomorrow)
-"Getting to Know You" form (please return at earliest convenience).
-Bring newspapers or magazines to cut out pictures for a collage (due tomorrow)
-Please bring a novel to school for silent reading (due Monday)
-All forms sent home signed and returned (due Monday)
-Health - Exit Card (due Wednesday)
-Arts program permission form (due Monday).
