Tuesday May 20, 2014

Good evening ladies & gentlemen,

I would like to encourage you all to tell your parents about the "Walk to School Challenge" that you will be leading over the course of the next month.  With this comes a lot of responsibility which I know you will all handle very well.

Homework:

Math - p. 325 #4,5 (due tomorrow)

Literacy - Please complete the questions for your Public Service Announcement on the blank "Media Triangle".  (Due tomorrow)

Literacy - Please make sure that you look at your essays and make sure that you fix any of the following:
1.  No CAPS on words.  Also don't use bold or underline in your actual essay.  You can use italics if you would like.

2.  Take out symbols such as :)  or   ;)

3.  Make sure that your essay is not "centered".  All the lines should start at the same point on the left side of the page (unless you have indented at the beginning of a new paragraph).

Social Studies - Please find the answers to all of the "Traditions & Lifestyle" questions, as well as the "Food & Clothing" questions.  The list of questions have been shared with you on Google Drive.   (Due Monday ):

Here is a reminder for how to use the moodle for your research:
1.  Go to www.moodle2.yrdsb.ca
2.  type in your user name and password for the school computers.
3.  Go to effective online searches.
4.  If you need a password for one of the resources (i.e. Britanica) they are below the list of resources

Health - Complete one of the scenarios from the homework page.  You can choose which scenario you complete.  (Due tomorrow)
