Thursday January 28, 2016

Good evening ladies & gentlemen,

Please find your homework below.

Math Lessons (Listen to these when you need help with the concepts)
  1. Translations & Reflections - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yf8dbFgm4h8
  2. Creating Similar Shapes - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YzyROtYyEg (Remember, the process explained in this video for creating a similar shape is the same regardless of what shape it is).
  3. Creating Similar Shapes Using Algebra - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUt8KBMkOwc

Math - page 71 & 72 in workbook (due tomorrow)

Math - Come up with an idea about why it is that you can't add or subtract to sides in order to create a similar shape. Remember, please use the concept of cross multiplication to help create your answer. (Due tomorrow)

Literacy - Make sure you are following the timelines for your Social Justice readings and assignments.

Literacy - Please complete your opinion writing and quotation rules revisions to your article. This is due on Friday. You can use the pictures posted on my Twitter account to help you meet the success criteria for revising your articles. These success criteria are from the lessons we have had in class. Remember, the articles do not need to be completed, just your revisions. (Due tomorrow)

Health - Answer padlet questions, make sure that they are posted on Padlet, and not covering anyone else's answers.  Remember that the assignment is on the Google Classroom - Literacy page.   Please make sure that you write your name above each of your answers so that I know you completed your homework.  I would like it if you found information to answer each question, but if you focus on answering one question really, really well, I will be fine with that. (Due tomorrow)

Science - Please make sure that you keep up to date with Mrs. Foster's assignment sheet.

Blue Jays - For the third consecutive year, we will be attending a Blue Jays baseball game.  Order forms have been sent home and are due back on February 3rd.  This is open to students, families & friends.

Have a great evening!
