Good evening ladies & gentlemen,

Please find your homework below.

Literacy - Please use your review the page you stapled into your journal that teaches about figurative language (i.e. similes, metaphors, hyperbole, personification, etc.).  Please review each type of figurative language, become familiar with each, and find one more example for each.  (Due tomorrow).

Math - On Friday, we will have a quiz on pages 67, 68 & 69 in workbook.  (Due Friday)

Math - Please create a scalene triangle (3 different side lengths, and 3 different angles), and a rectangle, and then create a similar shape for both.  The video of today's lesson is found in the link below.  (Due tomorrow)

Math Lessons

  1. Translations & Reflections - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yf8dbFgm4h8
  2. Creating Similar Shapes - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YzyROtYyEg (Remember, the process explained in this video for creating a similar shape is the same regardless of what shape it is).

Health -   Many of you have not completed the survey.  For tomorrow, please complete the survey found at the following link http://goo.gl/forms/Q5S4EE7AJQ  ...you may need to log into Google Drive, and may need to cut and paste the link.  (Due tomorrow)

Music - Playing test #84 (due tomorrow)

History - Ikaria assignment on Google Classroom (due Friday)

History - Open book test/assignment FRIDAY.  Make sure you label the pages to make it easier to find the information you will use to answer your questions.  you are responsible for the pages that were assigned from pages 1 - 47 in your online textbook.  You do not need to "study".  I just want to make sure that you have completed the assigned questions and can use them to answer the questions you will be given on your test.  (Due Friday)

Health - Answer padlet questions.  Remember that the assignment is on the Google Classroom - Literacy page.   Please make sure that you write your name above each of your answers so that I know you completed your homework.  I would like it if you found information to answer each question, but if you focus on answering one question really, really well, I will be fine with that. (Due Friday)

Science - Please make sure that you keep up to date with Mrs. Foster's assignment sheet.

Blue Jays - For the third consecutive year, we will be attending a Blue Jays baseball game.  Order forms have been sent home and are due back on February 3rd.  This is open to students, families & friends.

Have a great evening!

Mr. Carr
