Tonight's homework is as follows:
Science - 1. All of part A & B for your Ecosystems Project is due on October 5th. Part B needs to be drawn as a web that is displayed next to your ecosystem model. You will need to construct your ecosystems at home and have them in class on October 5th. All notes and criteria are on the Science Google Classroom. As well, Ms.Glanfield is available on day 1 and 5 at morning recess for consultation.
Math - Today you found the side lengths of a 169 metre squared gymnastics mat by finding the square root of 169. Since the gymnastics mat was a square, you were able to use square root to find the dimensions of the square. You can look on the twitter account if you want a picture of the original question we answered. For homework, I would like you to draw 3 different sized squares, and show how you the side lengths of the square, the area of the square, and square root all relate to each other. (In other words, if you have the area, how can you use square root to find the side lengths). If you want to really challenge yourself, you could involve decimals in your answer. (Due Tuesday)
