Attention parents
The following assignments have been sent home with marks on them....
1. Persuasive Essays - This assignment is to be returned to be placed in student portfolios. If your child did not receive their mark, then I did not receive their essay and it needs to be submitted to me as soon as possible. It is late.
2. Math test - Test on Factors & Exponents. Please review with your child. They have been provided with the correct answers, and should be correcting at home and showing you as parents that they understand their errors. If they still have questions, they should come see me and I will be happy to provide more support to ensure they understand the content moving forward.

Dance-a-thon - Info sheets have gone home. Event is October 31st. Please note that this is one of only 2 school fundraisers this year (the other is Hansenpalooza in June), so it is a very important event for our school.
Edsby - Please ask your parents to accept the "Edsby invitation" they received in an email on October 18th, if they have not done so already. If they need another invitation they can contact the office. This is how we will be booking student-led conferences. Please let me know if you have any questions :)
Return - Persuasive essays & the marked rubric must be returned after showing your family your mark. I have only received a few! (Due)

Literacy - Washington Redskins Point of View Assignment. The assignment sheet can be found on Google Drive. No more class time will be provided. (due Monday)
Health - Answers to the 2 questions completed. Please use the resources on Google Classroom. You do not need to read every article, but you do need to go through a lot of them in order to form a very detailed answer. (Due Thursday)
French - Complete your story book with colour and details. (Due Tuesday)
Science - Complete the research of the organization that's in your ecosystem, and bring your materials to build your ecosystem by next Science class.
Late work
If you have not handed in your persuasive essays, please do so as soon as possible.
A message about yearbooks......
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Making new friends and making memories with old friends are important parts of the school year. Help your child keep the fun and memories alive for years to come with a yearbook, a time capsule of the events and people that made this year unique.
Last year marked our very first yearbook, and it was a HUGE success. The majority of our families ordered one. Rick Hansen Public School is pleased to announce that we will continue the yearbook tradition started last year. The cost for the 2018-2019 full-colour yearbook is $26.
