Attention Parents

1. Healthy Eating assignment
2. Math test - Patterns
3. Art tasks - Line assignment & This is Me assignment
4. Washington Redskins assignment.

The only one that is asked to be signed and returned is the math test.  Thank you.

Please find your homework below....

Reading - Too many students do not have books to read during silent reading.  Please make sure you always have at least 1 book that you are excited to read here at school.  This should be an enjoyable part of your day, but it isn't when you don't have a book you want to read.

Literacy - Generate at least 2 ideas for a political cartoon.  It can be a topic of your choice, or on the Washington Redskins debate.

Literacy - Please answer the following questions below from the Steve Jobs speech we watched today.  The speech can be found at the following link

    1. Identify a point of view, or belief, that Steve Jobs shared in his speech.  In other words, what is something that you know he believes?
    2. What was his purpose & who was his audience?
    3. What lessons can you synthesize from his speech?  In other words, what are some lessons that you can learn from him and apply to your life?
    4. What “WOW” strategies did he use?
    5. Analyse whether or not you feel the strategies he used were effective. Please explain your reasons in detail.

A message about yearbooks......
Dear Parents/Guardians,

Making new friends and making memories with old friends are important parts of the school year.
Help your child keep the fun and memories alive for years to come with a yearbook, a time capsule
of the events and people that made this year unique.

Last year marked our very first yearbook, and it was a HUGE success.  The majority of our families
ordered one. Rick Hansen Public School is pleased to announce that we will continue the yearbook
tradition started last year.  The cost for the 2018-2019 full-colour yearbook is $26.

Please make your payment using SchoolCashOnline (https://yrdsb.schoolcashonline.com/).
Orders are due by the end of November.

Have a great evening!
