I'm excited for our time together this year. My hope is that our first day has provided you with the opportunity to begin developing some excitement yourself :)
This is our homework blog. Please make sure you check it each night. I will at times place things on here that we did not discuss in class.

Math- Please complete the following from Lesson #1. You can also see the STUDENT UNIT PLANS document on Google Classroom for the links. (Due tomorrow)
Literacy - Please ensure that your first journal entry from today (Someone you admire and why) is attached on Google Classroom (it is likely in the same document). If it is on paper, no problem, please keep track and leave me a message on Google Classroom so I know :) Thanks! (Due tomorrow)
Literacy - Please complete your second journal entry from today (A second person you admire and why). For this one please ensure you have completed 250-300 words. Please make sure it is on Google Classroom or let me know if you completed it on paper. Thank you :) (Due tomorrow)
Literacy - Please complete reading THIS TEXT. You only need to read it so that you are prepared for what we will do next with the text. (Due tomorrow)
Letter to Families - Please have your families read THIS LETTER. In the letter I have asked families to respond via email. If there are any challenges to do this, it's no problem at all, but please just let me know. Thanks so much :) (Due Monday)
Google Classroom - Please join our Google Classroom if you have not yet already. The class code is j7cfv47 (Due)
Silent Reading Book - I would like everyone to please have a book, or texts of significant length that they would enjoy reading in class. These can be novels, biographies, online texts about a particular topic, etc.. I would prefer texts which are not online, but if that is your only option, that's okay. If you don't have any books at home, or can't get to the library, no problem. Please just let me know. We will eventually look to get to the library. (Due Monday)
Health - Please have the topic chosen for your group Concussion Task. YOU ONLY NEED TO HAVE THE TOPIC CHOSEN - nothing else (Due Tuesday September 12th)
