I'm excited for our time together this year. My hope is that our first day has provided you with the opportunity to begin developing some excitement yourself :)
This is our homework blog. Please make sure you check it each night. I will at times place things on here that we did not discuss in class.

Literacy - Please complete your journal entry from today. You were asked to complete 250-300 words, and the prompt was... From our discussion today, what have you learned, realized and/or discovered? Here are some ideas we discussed.... (Due tomorrow)
- Dreams vs. wishes
- A dream without a plan is just a wish.
- Why the "Pyramid of Success" is valuable.
- When we make choices to act like the characteristics on the "Pyramid", we develop/become those characteristics more quickly.
Letter to Families - Please have your families read THIS LETTER. In the letter I have asked families to respond via email. If there are any challenges to do this, it's no problem at all, but please just let me know. Thanks so much :) (Due Monday)
Google Classroom - Please join our Google Classroom if you have not yet already. The class code is j7cfv47 (Due)
Silent Reading Book - I would like everyone to please have a book, or texts of significant length that they would enjoy reading in class. These can be novels, biographies, online texts about a particular topic, etc.. I would prefer texts which are not online, but if that is your only option, that's okay. If you don't have any books at home, or can't get to the library, no problem. Please just let me know. We will eventually look to get to the library. (Due Monday)
Health - Please have the topic chosen for your group Concussion Task. YOU ONLY NEED TO HAVE THE TOPIC CHOSEN - nothing else (Due Tuesday September 12th)
