Tuesday November 10, 2020

  Good evening, everyone!

Sometimes you complete your work in class, please see below for ideas on what to do when you complete :)

What you can work on when you complete your work...

1.  Review past work, study & ask for help if needed.

2.  Read silently & add to your reading comprehension tracking document.

3.  Work on homework.

4.  Continue with Passion Project research.

5.  Take a break and refresh your mind by getting off the computer.

Please find your homework below....

Parent Teacher Interviews - Please let your parents know that they should have received an email about booking parent teacher interviews.  If they have a hard time booking one online, they can send me an email and I will arrange with them a time for an interview.  Interviews are scheduled for Thursday November 12th (evening) and Friday November 13th (morning).  Thank you!

Tuesday Afternoon work...

1. Work on Drama summative task.  (until 2:30).  Please come back at 2:30pm.

2. Free work period to get caught up on all work.  (Until 3:15)

Language - Please complete the task we worked on yesterday and today in class - "Assessment - Synthesis, Point of View, Deep Questions"  (Due tomorrow).

Math - Please make sure that your Math test is completed this evening.  Please submit it when complete.  (Due tomorrow).

Language - The following is feedback that I believe will help everyone in their Passion Project research.  This is feedback based on what I am noticing from examining tracking documents....

1.  Keep learning more!  Learn from lots of different documents/resources.

2.  Be specific about what you are learning.  Push your thinking prompts will help with this.

3.  Explain how your knowledge is growing. (Text 1) x (Text 2) = deeper knowledge/insights

4.  Explain how texts connect to each other.  (Text 1) x (Text 2) = deeper knowledge/insights

Drama - Please complete the Summative Task.  Please remember that you do not need to provide answers for every scene in the movie/drama.  You only need to complete each section of the chart, and you can choose which scenes in the movie you use to complete the charts.  (due November 18th).

The following was shared with me from the Virtual School principals.  If you are interested, please click on the links for more details :)
