Today's Work - Tuesday January 18, 2022

 Good morning everyone,

As noted on Google Classroom, I am putting today's assignments here on the blog in case the last minute change to remote learning makes it difficult for families to participate in online learning.

It is expected that you show up for each Google Meet class, but here is the work for you to complete in case you cannot make it.

Social Studies - For Task #4 (Newcomers to Canada Task), please begin answering the reasearch questions from the assignment.  You will be provided with time today, and then one more period - so please use your time wisely.  Please use the APE Strategy and please make sure you use details from the text to support your answers.  You are also encouraged to use PUSH YOUR THINKING PROMPTS.   Please check your private message for this assignment - just in case I left you a personal message.  Not everyone has received one, so don't worry if you don't have one.

Math - Please complete the Check-In Quiz.  The questions are found on slides 16 & 17 of THIS JAMBOARD.  Please write your answers on paper and bring them to class tomorrow.  You are allowed to use your notes, and Jamboard, but you cannot get help from other people.  I am available for questions and will be online all day for you to ask questions.  If you are moving to online learning, please take a picture and attach it to Google Classroom (Unit #9).  If you take a picture, it is fine to do close ups of your page and take multiple pictures.  (Due tomorrow).

Literacy - Using slide #9 of THIS JAMBOARD, please write a second draft of your story.  Make sure you use the prompts & instructions on the Jamboard.  THIS IS A TASK THAT REQUIRES DEEP THINKING!  (Due tomorrow).

Once again, I will be online today, and it is expected that you are online if you are able, but today will be a day where you are given lots of time to get work done, and I will be available for help.

Mr. Carr
