Hello everyone!

IMPORTANT.... 

Please make sure you are dressed for the weather each day.  I will be booking our SNOWSHOES for us to use outside.  Even if it is cold and an indoor recess, as a class we can go out to use the snowshoes if we are dressed appropriately.  I would like to get us outside for some fresh air & fun!  

Please find your homework below...

Literacy - Please complete these steps that we were working on today in class.... (Due tomorrow)

1.  Please map the story you wrote on a story arc.

2.  Please identify and make note of anything you want to revise.  (To fit the story arc that you want).

3.  Make revision plans...this means, just make note of what you will revise and how you will revise it.  

Science - Biodiversity & the Economy Task - The 3 questions on the assignment are due on Wednesday January 26th.  Please submit to Mr. Carr when you are done.  Leave a private comment on the assignment and/or give him the work you completed on paper.  You can begin submitting whenever you are complete.  (Due tomorrow)

Literacy - Please complete THIS TASK.  You can use the resources from the "WOWing Your Audience" assignment on Google Classroom to help you make your answers the best they can be.  This will be collected tomorrow in class (Due - late).

Math - Unit #10 (Locations & Transformations) Test on Friday.  You will need to be able to do the following for the test.....

1)  Create a Cartesian Grid with proper spacing/scale.

2)  Plot points on your Cartesian Grid.

3)  Find the distance between points (vertically & horizontally)

4) Translate shapes (example 3 up, 2 down)

5)  Reflect shapes in the x-axis, or y-axis.

Math - If you are having difficulty with translating & reflecting shapes on a cartesian grid, please feel free to review THIS LINK (which can also be found on Google Classroom).

Social Studies - Newcomers to Canada Task - All questions due Thursday January 27th.  Please see instructions in the comment section of the assignment on Google Classroom.  These provide more details for how to answer the questions.   Please submit to Mr. Carr when you are done.  Leave a private comment on the assignment and/or give him the work you completed on paper.  You can begin submitting whenever you are complete.  (Due Thursday).
